The 4th round of Hungarian RC Prof SpeedPassion Summer Challenge took place on June 8th.
Qualifications:
The qualification runs were really interesting with great battles on the track and position changing all the time untill the end. I finished 2nd in the first run but I was able to make a flawless run in the next one and take a win. The third run didnâ™t go as I expected however with the best lap time from 2nd qualifying I got TQ and first spot on the grid for finals.
Finals:
I already knew it is going to be hard fight for the podium places as there was a lot of great drivers in my class. Right from thew start of the A1 I shot ahead and did not give the rivals enough space for passing manoeuvre. Behind me there was a great battle for the second and third place and being on a good pace I was able to stretch my lead to 5 seconds at the end and take the win.
In the first lap of the second final I made a mistake and hit the groove. With few more mistakes made after this I fell back to fifth place. At a 2 minute mark I decided to not push too hard and save the tires for the last final race.
It all came down to the last final race with 3 cars fighting for the overall win. There was a lot of collisions in the pack, positions changed. But once I took the lead I kept it untill the end of the race and got the well deserved overall win.
